HSBC and Brandix have launched a programme to help improve the livelihoods of two villages in Killinochchi by providing its residents with access to water, infrastructure and education. The launch coincides with the United Nations ‘World Water Day’ to raise awareness on the issues of water  scarcity.

Three of Sri Lanka’s brightest fashion designers of the future have been recognised with special awards for Creativity, Innovation and Inspiration respectively by Textured Jersey PLC, the country’s largest manufacturer of knitted fabric.

The lives of 350 school children and their teachers of 20 have improved tangibly at a school in Kelaniya, following the construction of water supply and sanitation infrastructure through corporate sector intervention.
